VTSS is the Warsaw-born, London-based DJ and producer Martyna Maja, one of the central figures in the late-2010s "fast and hard" techno wave that pulled trance, EBM, hardcore and industrial back onto the same dancefloor. She came up through the Brutaż parties and her home club Jasna 1 in Warsaw after dropping out of law school for sound engineering, then broke internationally with sharp releases on Repitch and Intrepid Skin that earned her residencies at Berghain and slots at Dekmantel, Awakenings and Berlin Atonal. More recently she has expanded the project to include her own vocals and songwriting on releases for Ninja Tune's Technicolour imprint, turning what started as a pure-club operation into a fuller artistic identity.
