Hailing from Mannheim, Germany, Nick Curly emerged in the mid-2000s as one of the key architects of the city’s influential house scene. Through 8Bit Records, which he co-founded with Gorge, and Cécille Records, founded alongside Marc Scholl, he helped launch and support artists including Butch, Toman, Josh Butler, and Robert Dietz while establishing two of underground house music’s most respected labels. His releases on Cocoon, Defected, Truesoul, and Knee Deep In Sound have made him a favorite among DJs worldwide.
