Few artists have shaped modern underground dance music quite like Damian Lazarus. After beginning his career in London’s record industry, he founded Crosstown Rebels in 2004, a label that helped launch the careers of artists including Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, and Art Department while becoming one of the defining imprints in house and techno. Beyond the label, Lazarus has built a reputation as a curator and cultural architect through events like Get Lost, Rebel Rave, and the legendary Day Zero festival in Tulum.
