Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe started Basement Jaxx as a Brixton club night in 1994, building a sound that ran house through ragga, samba, punk, R&B and whatever else was in reach. Remedy and Rooty made them one of the defining British dance acts of the era — "Red Alert," "Romeo," "Where's Your Head At" — and Kish Kash took the Grammy for Best Electronic/Dance Album in 2004. Two decades on, their sets remain relentlessly maximalist: vocal-driven, carnival-loud, and built for rooms that want to sweat rather than nod.
